My new book is born … The Life You Left, welcome to the beautiful world of books!

Good morning lovely friends,

Well, I thought today would never come, but come it did, it’s eBook PUB day of my novel The Life You Left.

I’d never equate my books to babies, because nothing compares to my babies, but in a way, the whole process of writing a book, editing the book and then watching it get ready to publish, is a lot like being pregnant and then giving birth.  Without the epidural.  But with the occasional gift of air and gas, which in the world of an author is wine and chocolate.  Only not occasionally. And sometimes wine is gin and chocolate is cheese and onion tayto crisps.  But once the book arrives, all the pain (late nights), worry that it will all be ok, is forgotten, with the sheer and utter joy of its arrival.

So now that The Life You Left is out there in the beautiful world of books, I couldn’t be more proud.  It’s a pretty book, thanks to the talented Harper Impulse team (Isn’t that dress amazing!) and more than that, I hope its a book that will make you happy that you took the time to read it.  Early reviews back that up thankfully!

I’m going to spend the day, hoping and praying that the reviews continue to be good, watching and obsessing over rankings (please please please let it be a bestseller!!!) and then tonight, with my lovely husband, I’m off out to Cistin Eile, our favourite restaurant.  If you read, (please do read!) The Life You Left, you will notice Cistin Eile getting a little mention!

I would like to thank Charlotte Ledger, my editor in Harper Impulse, she’s a dream to work with and I’m very lucky to have someone like her, care about my books as she does.  I would also like to thank Amy Winchester, in Harper Collins publicity team for everything she is doing to help let the world know about my book.

Special thanks to all the book reviewers who have taken the time to read The Life You Left and review it, to coincide with the release, I”m forever grateful.  To everyone who takes the time to review The Life You Left for me, know that each time you do, it really means a huge deal to me!  I want to give a big shoutout of thanks to Sophie, from Reviewed The Book, who has diligently and wonderfully, tweeted everyday a countdown to today’s release.  She’s quite literarily a star.

The Life You Left is only £1.89 as an eBook, I’d really appreciate it if you spread the word about it’s release. If you know anyone who likes to read eBooks, they might like this and I have a dream to be an eBook bestseller again.  Beyond Grace’s Rainbow did it, I’d love to see the little sister, do the same!

And for those that prefer paperbacks, not long to wait!  Paperback release is 3rd July and it’s coming to all good bookshops in Ireland then…..

Thanks everyone as always for your lovely support, If I could, I’d give you all a big hug now.  The best, you are, simply the best.

I’m going to leave now, with a little bit of music, that plays a part in The Life You Left.  I listened to this a lot while writing the story.
