Did you know that today is World Book Night?
What’s that, I hear you cry!
Well, World Book Night is a celebration of reading and books which takes place on 23 April every year. Books are given out across the UK with a focus on reaching those who don’t regularly read and are gifted through organisations including prisons, libraries, colleges, hospitals, care homes and homeless shelters, as well as by passionate individuals who give out their own books within their communities.
World Book Night is run by The Reading Agency, a national charity that inspires people to become confident and enthusiastic readers.
And I’ve got a competition running on Twitter to help celebrate this special day. You know me, anything that promotes reading, has my endorsement!
So tweeters, head over to @happymrsh, link below and RT and follow to be in with a chance to win a signed personalised copy of Cold Feet The Lost Years and The Woman at 72 Derry Lane.
To celebrate #WorldBookNight I've got a personalised signed copy of the special hardback edition of #ColdFeetTheLostYears & my @BGEIBAS shortlisted bestseller #TheWomanAt72DerryLane. Open Int. Just RT & Follow. pic.twitter.com/KuADGTYw8b
