Last chance saloon …

Now I know everyone’s heads are melted with the US election.

But I’ve one more bookish election that I need you all to think about.

The BGE Irish Book Awards vote closes at midnight!

If you haven’t chosen your favourite books of 2016 from the shortlist yet, would you take two minutes to do it now?

Every vote counts and could make such a difference to us authors!

The Things I Should Have Told You, has been shortlisted in the Sunday Independent, Newcomer of the Year category.

I am proud, excited, nervous, overwhelmed to  be a shortlisted author. Anything else is a dream. Know that every time one of you votes for me, I am truly grateful.

I always find new books to read when I look at each years shortlist. Oh and when you vote, you go into a draw to win book tokens too! How bad?!

The awards ceremony is on next Wednesday, so the pressure is now on to find a red carpet worthy dress! I’ve kept it last minute, hoping that I’d somehow miraculously drop two dress sizes before the event. Ha! Whatever dress I’m squeezed into, I do know one thing for sure, I’ll be wearing the biggest smile.

I cannot wait.

Thank you everyone for your support,

Carmel x
