I am so delighted to share a press release that was issued yesterday. I’ve been sitting on this news for such a long time, it feels good to finally shout it from the roof tops!
I have signed a two-book contract with Harper Fiction.
The Road Back Home will be published Spring 2016 and the next book in 2017.
As you know, I’ve been part of the Harper Collins family for over two years, with one of their digital imprints – Harper Impulse. Both Beyond Grace’s Rainbow and The Life You Left were eBook bestsellers, and I’ve loved every second of my journey in the Harper Impulse family.
This new contract however, sees me move to a different part of Harper Collins – Harper Fiction.
It has always been my ambition to work with a traditional print publisher and I am so happy to get this opportunity now. I am excited to see where this new chapter of my publishing journey takes me and I hope you all stick with me on the way!
Oh and to all my wonderful readers, who keep asking me when my next book is out, well, I’m so excited to confirm that there WILL be a Harrington novel out this year! A Christmas book no less, which will be published by Harper Impulse in October 2015. Details of the title and cover will be shared over the coming weeks/months! It’s always been a dream of mine to write a full on, tinselly, glittery, festive story and I promise you, this one is all of that. With bells on!

HarperFiction signs Impulse authors

Commercial women’s fiction publisher Kimberley Young signed deals for Johnson and Harrington with Laura Longrigg at MBA and Tracy Brennan at Trace Literary Agency respectively.
Young said: “When we launched Impulse we wanted to find amazing new talent and Impulse Editor Charlotte Ledger has done a fantastic job of publishing these authors digitally and growing their audiences. We are thrilled to be able to work with Carmel and Debbie in the next chapters of their careers. I’m delighted we can now publish them on a traditional platform as well as continue their publishing through Impulse.”
